With my traditional backpack, I was experiencing back pain and headaches caused by neck strain as the heavy loads would pull on my neck and shoulder muscles. As I need to carry a variety of items such as tools, books and electronics for work and study, I was looking for an ergonomic alternative. With the BackTpack 4, I find that the even weight distribution allows me to stand straight and walk a lot faster even with the same loads I used to carry. I’m a believer in BackTpack as being a proactive way to teach proper posture and prevent neck and back problems. And as I see it, it’s just like wearing a seat belt in the car or a helmet for bike riding, kids that have grown up with these habits are more likely to continue them through adulthood. First off, BackTpack’s amazing bag design saved my back and shoulders through medical school! I recommend them to my patients who have heavy things to carry on a daily basis. They work great when bicycling and hiking, and when you hang it on the back of a chair – your books, pens, snacks and water bottles are easily accessible. Second, what a helpful emergency kit suggestion! Saving this to make up my own!

As parents, we wanted to try the BackTpack out for ourselves to see why our child chose the BackTpack over her standard style cartoon back pack and so we loaded it up and went out for a walk. Thank you for the BackTpack! I liked it for the following reasons:
I didn’t have to worry about all my belongings not being able to fit because this backpack has lots of room in it.
When it’s icy and times when we have a lot of homework, I don’t have to worry about tipping over and falling on the ice which can lead to a concussion.
Also, I don’t get backaches because the backpack doesn’t rest on my back. And when you have a lot of homework and you get a backache, oh, it hurts!
